Still admitted to the Intensive Care Unit of the General Teaching Hospital Dr. Agostinho Neto, of Guantanamohe troubadour Eduardo Sosa continues in a deep coma without evidence of recovery.
His prognosis, which in recent days had been “reserved”, is now “unfavorable”, according to the last medical part, disseminated by the Cuban Institute of Music. Despite the therapeutic efforts, the medical team also highlights the respiratory and renal complications suffered by the Santiago singer -songwriter.
Sosa, 52, suffered the stroke during a tour of Guantanamero territory, where he participated in the theatrical crusade and in debates of the X Congress of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC).
Given the magnitude of the stroke, the specialists decided to submit it to a surgical intervention that “fulfilled its goal” at that time, but that “does not completely solve the problem,” according to medical valuations.
His situation has generated great dismay in the cultural field of the island, and among the thousands of followers who enjoy their music and interpretations.
The renowned artist began his musical career at age 12 and in 1997 he formed the duo POSTROVAthat for five years the acceptance of the public was won by the quality of its proposals.
