The spokesman for the Alianza para el Progreso caucus, Eduardo Salhuana, pointed out that Daniel Salaverry must be removed from his position as president of the Perupetro board of directors before the interpellation to the Minister of Energy and Mines takes place, Edward Gonzalez.
In statements to Canal N, the parliamentarian also said that it is likely that several legislative benches have already decided to support a censorship against the head of the sector for the irregular appointment of the former Popular Force legislator.
“Congress is going to take measures, the 31st is the interpellation and the corresponding mechanisms will be seen there. This is a mistake that the Government unfortunately made. It is likely that several banks have already made the decision to go for censorship”, he stated.
“I believe that Salaverry should be removed before the interpellation and then his behavior as the minister will be seen. Congress has to have a firm attitude, you cannot have appointments that do not correspond, “ he added.
