Eliminate all health personnel of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), is what moves the protests in San Félix, in Chiriquí, according to the Ombudsman, Eduardo Leblanc.
He added on Radio Panama that they were also demonstrating for the elimination of the Covid-19 vaccine, in addition to other issues. “They have their right, that ability to not want to get vaccinated,” he said.
“What is also important is the right to free movement, respect for the right to health and that other people who do want to be vaccinated and can access that right. Without a doubt, the Ombudsman will never agree with that and never agreed, that’s why we decided to raise our voices for the country’s children,” he said.
Leblanc emphasized that misinformation has led parents to take an attitude that is creating terror among children about the vaccine.
In the meeting held by the Ombudsman’s Office with a group of natives, there were people from different provinces. “There was a part of the Ngäbe community, but they were not elected authorities and they did not have support from their authorities,” he remarked.
