Santo Domingo.- The Dominican Association of Teachers issued the first bulletin of the elections to choose its new authorities, in which Eduardo Hidalgo is shaping up as the winner with the 66.36% of the votes.
ADP elections take place normally and massive participation of teachers
Hidalgo, who belongs to the Eugenio María de Hostos group, is followed by Nolberto Ortiz by the Magisterial current José Francisco Peña Gómez and Corrientes allied with the 25.88% of the votes counted.
While the candidate is positioned in third place Adhamilka Espinal, by the Magisterial Force (People’s Force).
The announcement was made by the president of the National Electoral CommissionGilberto Almonte.

Voting took place this Wednesday starting at 8 in the morning and concluded at 5 in the afternoon.
Some 137,773 active teachersretirees and pensioners were summoned to exercise their right to elect the 31 national leaders, 21 to the Executive Committee, 5 to the National Disciplinary Court, 5 to the National Council of Commissioners and 174 municipal sections.
Of the 137 thousand 773 eligible voters to vote, 107,600 are women, while 30,173 are men.
The process took place with normality and with massive participation of the teachers who attended the 366 tables that operated in 263 centers throughout the national territory.
