This 53rd edition of Caminos del Inca 2025 was full of surprises and bad news, mainly with the incident of one of the QS Racing Team vehicles, Jenrry Quispe’s car No. 849, suffered a fire a few kilometers from arriving in Ahuac, Quispe and his co-driver Gustavo Medina, however the team decided to abandon the competition.
“I want to thank all the people who showed solidarity with us, unfortunately there was egg in the fuel tank and that reached the exhaust pipe that caused the fire. Out of solidarity with the family we will abandon the competition and we apologize to all the people of Ayacucho who were surely waiting for us,” said pilot Nelson Quispe.
One of the most requested was also the pilot Fabiola Medina, “We arrived well and for this second stage we want to recover times. I know we can do it,” said.
