The president of the Council of Ministers, Eduardo Arana, arrived in the province of Pataz, in La Libertad, to visit the Unified Pataz (Cupaz) command, which develops actions against illegal mining in the area.
This visit was announced through the official account of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers on platform X (formerly Twitter)
It is worth mentioning that Arana was accompanied by Defense Minister Walter Astudillo, and Interior Minister Carlos Malaver, who inspected the work done by the command.
Since its creation, CUPAZ has generated a negative economic impact greater than S/ 238 million to illegal economies, weakening criminal structures that affect security and development in the region.
The entity specified that its operations are carried out under strict respect for human rights and the current legal framework, with the aim of consolidating territorial control, stopping illegal economies and returning peace and development opportunities to Pataz.
