The report indicates that private and heavy vehicles are the ones that were stolen the most in January 2023, with 130 and 129 respectively; and the entities of the Republic with the highest incidence are the State of Mexico, Jalisco, Puebla, Guanajuato, Veracruz and Michoacán.
In the case of private vehicles, in January 2023, the State of Mexico led the way in cases of this crime with 46 thefts, followed by Jalisco, with 28, and Puebla, with 10.
In heavy vehicles, the State of Mexico had 29 cases of unit theft, Puebla had 18, Jalisco 16 and Guanajuato 13.
The report indicates that 31% of thefts of private vehicles and cargo are generated in the morning and evening shifts, 21% at dawn and 17% at night.
Tuesdays are the days with the highest incidence of vehicle theft, followed by Thursday, Wednesday and Monday. On Sunday, as there is less movement of vehicles -especially heavy or cargo- there are fewer cases of theft.
