The relationship between the footballer Edison “Little Ears” Flowers and his brothers-in-law, Roberto and Iván Siucho Neira, investigated for the crime of money laundering, has come to light after the Andrés Hurtado ‘Chibolín’ scandal. According to a report by Panamericana, which showed a public records document, it is revealed that Flores and the Siucho brothers acquired in 2020 a plot of land of more than 21,000 square meters, located in front of the Panamericana Sur, in Lurín, for a value of US$ 918,400.
The land was registered with Sunarp under several shares. Edison Flores and his wife, Ana Siucho, own 25% of the shares. Roberto Siucho Neiraunder the name “Taotao Xiao”, is listed with 50%. Francisco Iván Siucho and his wife, Melisa Penoy, have 12.5%, while the Nazca real estate company, owned by Iván Siucho, owns another 12.5%.
The property currently houses a crematorium and cemetery called Pacific Services Corporation SAC, and at its entrance there is a sign with a threatening warning: “Private property, order to shoot.” The only worker at the site, when questioned, said she did not know the Siucho Neiras.
A few months after the purchase, the land was mortgaged in favor of Flora Rosa Salazar Luján for the sum of US$ 1,900,000, more than double the original purchase price. This financial move was made to guarantee the obligations of Flores and the Siucho brothers with Salazar Luján, according to records.
The Second Specialized Prosecutor’s Office for Money Laundering Crimes has requested the statement of footballer Edison Flores, as well as the list of assets owned by him, including vehicles, motorcycles and boats. This is in the context of the investigation involving the Siucho Neira family, in particular for the van received by the detainee Andrés Hurtado, registered in the player’s name.
The legal situation facing Edison Flores’ political family is getting more complicated, and everything indicates that the footballer will have to answer to the authorities for the commercial and financial ties that link him to his brothers-in-law.
