Edil expelled from Alianza Nacional for voting trust for Canelones

López, a man from Alianza Nacional, after voting positively, unleashed anger and was expelled, a fact that was made public through the following note:

“Given the vote of the Trust sent by the Canelones Intendancy by the Departmental Board of Canelones, where the necessary majority was configured through the vote of a mayor belonging to our Sector, Alianza Nacional expresses:

– that the actions of Mr. Edil Juan López do not represent the will of the departmental or national leadership of the Sector.

– that said action was without consultation and contravened the express will of the Sector, which was to accompany the position of the entire National Party Caucus.

– that for the above, the National Alliance has decided to expel Edil Juan López”

Why the trust

They were in favor of the proposal of the Canarian intendant, Yamandú Orsi, the mayors of the Frente Amplio and the reds and whites were opposed.
