Edgar Tello against the resignation of Aníbal Torres: “It would not be the right time”

congressman a member of the Magisterial Bloc, was against President Pedro Castillo accepting the resignation of to the position of prime minister, in response to the letter that the latter presented making his position available.

“We are all taken by surprise (the resignation of Aníbal Torres) Thinking about the good of the country, we think that it would not be the right time”declared the legislator to RPP.

A few minutes before, the president of the Council of Ministers had published on social networks his letter sent to Pedro Castillo in which he proposes his resignation “for personal reasons” and where he explains that he seeks to return to university classrooms and legal research.

“[¿Pedro Castillo perdería su mejor fichas en el tablero político?] That’s how it is. It is one of the backbones of the administration and it is a reason for the president to evaluate it well and for fellow Aníbal as well”Tello said.

The congressman from the Magisterial Bloc and former member of Peru Libre pointed out that, in case Pedro Castillo accepts the resignation of his prime minister, there should be a replacement who is communicative, dialoguing and from the countryside.
