There are two main candidates of the Liberal Party (PLRA) to fight for the governorship of Central. Édgar Acosta, national deputy and Ricardo Estigarribia, current mayor of Villa Elisa.

He pointed out that he wants to govern honestly. And he affirmed that the candidates have to present correspondence of assets and an impeccable resume to be able to aspire to the position.
