Edesur Dominican reported this Wednesday that it will interrupt the supply electric in several sectors of the National District tomorrow, Thursday, for renovation and adaptation work on its network of distribution.
According to a press release, the service will be suspended from 9:00 in the morning to 3:00 in the afternoon in the following sectors: Viejo Arroyo Hondo, Los Pinos, Los Jardines del Norte (partial), San Gerónimo, Las Praderas, Los Prados, Carmelita, Julieta Morales, Fernández urbanization, Los Praditos, Quisqueya expansion, Piantini, Serrallés, Paraíso, Evaristo Morales and Los Restauradores (partial).
“The intervention of the networks of distribution will benefit about 49,200 customers of eight sectors of the National District,” he said.
He said that the work is part of the improvements continuous actions that it executes to guarantee a safe and stable energy supply, and that also includes the installation of new transformers and preventive maintenance to avoid possible breakdowns.
He added that he is currently intervening in several areas in order to continue improving the service electric in the National District and its concession area in the Santo Domingo province.
“We recently acquired and are working on the installation of two transformers of power at the Matadero Substation, located on Independencia Avenue, which will increase the capacity and quality of voltage by more than 40 sectors“he explained.
In addition, it invests more than 30 million pesos in the construction of networks of distribution electricity for the start-up of a new circuit that will benefit with more stability in the supply to another 14 sectors of Greater Santo Domingo.
