Edesur: Power line poles knocked down by tornado

Edesur Dominican Republic announced this Monday that a tornado It knocked down five power line poles and caused a breakdown in the 69 kilowatt line that supplies the service in San Juan, Las Matas de Farfán and Elías Piña.

This has caused the interruption of the service in these demarcations of the Southwestern region of the country, causing the downed poles to cause a blockage in traffic, according to a statement from the electricity distributor.

He said that brigades have been deployed to clear the roads and restore the energy service, replacing the poles thrown into the ground with a column of air with high velocity.
