The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) reported that it will carry out a key intervention this Wednesday for the Miches electrical system, with the installation of a new 14 MVA power transformer in the substation local.
According to a company statement, this equipment will double the current capacity, which operates with 7MVAand marks a decisive step in the repowering of the energy infrastructure of the municipality.
The improvement is part of the plan to expand and modernize the distribution system in this tourist area expanding, and is aimed at strengthening the stability, efficiency and load capacity necessary to accompany the accelerated growth of energy demand associated with tourism development in the area.
The project also contemplates the complete retrofitting of the substationan action that will benefit more than 6,500 clients and that will allow the network to be prepared to respond more robustly to the present and future needs of the municipality.
The mayor of Miches, Luz María Mercedes Cabrera, valued the intervention and highlighted the direct impact it will have on the quality of the electrical service.
“Thanks to Edeeste for understanding that Miches needed that power transformer, which will mean a positive change in the energy service,” he said.

The work will benefit the MICH01 circuits and MICH02, which cover sectors such as City centerThe Asphalt, The Cemetery, Miramar, La Jabilla, Los Franceses, Borinquén, Los Mameyes, Pueblo Nuevo.
Also GinaLa Culebra, Arroyo Rico, Cabezú, Magua, Las Cañitas, Capitán, Juan Pablo Duarte, as well as the Miches roads–Savanna de la Mar and Miches–Las Lagunas de Nisibón.
