Edeeste Prepaid Service: 35,284 clients and growth projections for 2026

The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) reported that it currently has 35,284 clients contracted under the Prepaid service modality, consolidating this alternative as a key tool to promote more efficient electricity consumption within its concession area.

The company explained that this modality allows users to manage their consumption directly, recharging energy according to their needs and possibilities, which facilitates better planning of electrical spending in homes and promotes more responsible use of the service.

As part of its system expansion and modernization plan, Edeeste plans to integrate around 10,000 new Prepaid clients during the year 2026, within the framework of the investment and rehabilitation projects it executes in different sectors. The distributor specified that the implementation of this modality requires specific technical and commercial conditions that guarantee its proper functioning and sustainable massification, which is why it is working to gradually expand its reach in more communities.
