Edeeste dismantles 500 illegal connections in Los Mameyes

The Eastern Electricity Distribution Company (Edeeste) reported this Saturday that it carried out an operation to dismantle illegal connections in the Los Mameyes sector, managing to intervene 500 illegal connections used to extract energy irregularly.

Through a statement, the entity indicated that, during the operation, 385 users were formalized by contracting the electrical service on a regular basis.

He adds that among the actions carried out, the installation of 10 concentrated height measurement (MCA) modules stands out, a technology that allows more efficient and safer control of electrical consumption in areas that are difficult to access.

In addition, lamps were installed in narrow roads (alleys) to improve safety and visibility in the area, with a total investment of 2.9 million pesos so far.

With the measure, the electricity distribution companies (EDE) seek to reduce losses and promote safe connections that make the energy service more efficient.

“The EDEs call on illegal users to normalize their situation and be able to regularly access the system, thus avoiding criminal consequences and having their names appear on the list of electrical offenders,” the statement said.

Edeeste reiterates its call to users who have not yet regularized their situation to do so as soon as possible, thus avoiding possible legal sanctions and contributing to the strengthening of their community’s electrical network,” the statement concludes.
