HOLY SUNDAY. –The Minister of Labor, Eddy Olivares highlighted that the Government of President Luis Abinader has made more salary increases than any other administration. in history, accumulating some 44 increases in his years in office.
By participating in an interview in the Tribuna de la Verdad space on Z101, hosted by Luis José Chávez, Abel Guzmán, Aileen De Camps, Joisy Melenciano and Emmanuel Acosta, Olivares explained that the current management has included all sectors, including domestic ones.
“In total, the two governments of President Luis Abinader and the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), which began in 2024. “The Government of President Luis Abinader has implemented 44 non-sectorized minimum wage increases”Olivares highlighted.
Another of the achievements that the PRM vice president also highlighted is that The aforementioned increases have been made based on consensus with the employer sector, without causing conflict between both sides.
In addition, the Minister of Labor recalled that the 44 salary increases made during this administration have been achieved by surpassing accumulated inflation.
He said that thanks to that The purchasing power of workers has been improved.
Olivares specified that the data offered is certified by international organizations, such as the case of the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), which places the country as the fourth nation with the highest increase in the real minimum wage.
