LA ROMANA AIRPORT.– A Boeing 737-400 aircraft, registration HC-CWG, operated by the Ecuadorian airline AEROregional, made an emergency landing at the La Romana International Airport after presenting an indication of unsafe landing gear.
The airport immediately activated its emergency teams and applied established security protocols.
The pilot of the aircraft flew over the area for several minutes with the objective of burning fuel and reducing weight, in accordance with safety procedures.
Subsequently, the plane made a controlled and uneventful landing, with no incidents, damages or people affected.
The emergency agencies remained in a preventive position throughout the maneuver, although their direct intervention was not necessary.
The airport maintains its operations normally.
