Ecuador: A Policeman Murdered and an Indigenous Leader Captured on the First Day of the Strike

During the early hours of this Tuesday, the president of Ecuador, Guillermo Lasso announced that the authorities began operations to capture the material and intellectual authors of the different violent acts that were recorded in the last hours under the national strike.

The most serious event was murder of a police patrolman who was burned inside his vehicle when, together with several colleagues, he attended a supposed call for help in the San Pedro de Yumate sector in Azuay, in the south of the country.
