Ecopetrol, through a statement, said that these violent events and the constant presence of the Organized Armed Groups in the Tibú and Sardinata fields, They put at risk the production of 1,400 barrels of oil per day and 900 thousand cubic feet of gas per day that these assets produce.
This gas supplies the entire public home service of the municipality of Tibú and 25% of the gas consumed in the city of Cúcuta. Ecopetrol once again calls on local and national authorities to guarantee the security of the region and provide the necessary conditions, so that it can continue generating opportunities for progress and development for Catatumbo.
