The economy Peru grew 3.93% in November 2024, which accumulated an advance of 3.11% in the 11 months of the year, revealed the National Institute of Statistics and Informatics (INEI).

In the penultimate month of the year, the sector with the greatest progress was the fishing sector with an increase of 17.57%, explained by the greater landing of species of maritime origin, intended for indirect human consumption.
The agricultural sector, meanwhile, expanded by 12.41%, while transportation, storage, mail and messaging by 7.98%. Other sectors that also registered positive results were manufacturing (6.67%), accommodation and restaurants (4.78%), telecommunications and other information services (4.69%), public administration, defense and others (4.31%), commerce (3.45%), and electricity, gas and water (3.11%).
On the other hand, in November 2024, a decline was observed in the production of mining and hydrocarbons (-2.19%), the financial and insurance sector (-2.14%), and construction (-2-40%).
CONTRIBUTION
He INEI revealed that the economic growth of 3.11% so far this year is mainly supported by the contribution of the other services sector (which includes real estate and personal services) with 0.6 percentage points (pp), manufacturing with 0.35 pp, commerce with 0.33 pp, transportation and storage with 0.31 pp, and agriculture with 0.27 points.
Regarding the mining and hydrocarbons sector, it registered a contribution of 0.24 percentage points, while construction 0.22 points. The only item with a negative impact in the 11 months was financial and insurance with -0.11 pp
