The economist Luis Alberto Morán analyzed the employment situation in Panama on Tuesday, stating that we need to focus on the labor market, because through work people can reduce poverty, create income and generate productivity and development, through the countries.
“We already suffered that 2020, which was the strongest year of the pandemic. Panama had a very strong contraction of almost 20% and it had an effect on the labor market”, he explained.

He said that the group of women and young people have been the most affected in this pandemic. “It is a phenomenon or a global trend and Panama does not escape this reality, that these two groups continue to find entry barriers when looking for jobs,” she remarked.
