The road is already fully paved from the Juan Pablo II or Samaná Highway to the Panamericana Avenue. The road is 10.5 kilometers long, with two lanes, and will connect Ciudad Juan Bosch with the Caucedo port.

According to Herrera, the new highway should be available to the public by October at the latest, and then continue with section III, which is the final part of the project. This work will connect the municipalities of Santo Domingo Este with Boca Chica, but also with the Northeast via the Juan Pablo II Highway.
