On September 12, 13 and 14, the Regional Youth Summit of Latin America and the Caribbean was held in Costa Rica.
The RCOY is a space for participation and articulation among the youth of Latin American countries that represents a great opportunity for us to strengthen ourselves and help each other regionally, in order to bring local concerns to international arenas.

The call was open to all organizations whose average age is between 16 and 35 years old and that have at least one initiative dedicated to climate change. The idea was that the initiatives presented would make it possible to measure the impact of youth organizations at the regional level, such as training, plantations, making educational videos, cleaning up natural spaces, etc.

The RCOY is promoted by 5 organizations in the region, among which are Sustainability Without Borders Y Eco House Global of Argentina.

Recently, the event whose format was hybrid, that is to say that face-to-face actions took place in Costa Rica and, at the same time, virtual assemblies and activities.

An important part of the event was the preparation of a document with 10 recommendations for national governments and 10 recommendations for large emitters, such as companies and countries. The idea is that this document be taken into consideration during the Summit of the parties that will take place next November in Egypt.

Environmental participation is key and you can also be part of it.
