The Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrardhighlighted the importance of economic integration between Mexico and the United States On the eve of a meeting with his American counterpart, Howard LutnicK, who still awaits its official ratification to start formal negotiations.
“It is not yet ratified, you have to wait to have a meeting with a foreign government. We are probably talking about the week,” said the Mexican official during the morning press conference on Monday, February 3.
The federal official stressed that the competitiveness of the US economy depends largely on production in Mexico, citing as an example the automotive industry.

In this context, he said that he will defend this position against Lutnick, who comes from the financial sector and, according to Ebrard, includes the operation of the market.
