THE Brazilian Communications Company (EBC) signed, this Wednesday (4), the adhesion to the Pact for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in State-Owned Companies. Coordinated by the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI), through the Secretariat of Governance of State-Owned Companies, the agreement aims to increase the sharing of strategies that promote public policies related to the topic in companies.
The Director of Administration, Finance and People (Diafi), Sabrina Gabeto, highlighted the importance of EBC be part of this group. “The initiative will allow us to learn about new experiences and strategies in order to advance our internal policies of inclusion and promotion of diversity, values that are intrinsically linked to our mission in public communication.”
The signing of the document also had the support of the Ministries of Human Rights and Citizenship, Racial Equality, Women and Indigenous Peoples, which contributed to the thematic discussions. In addition to EBCanother 33 public companies signed the agreement.
With the pact signed, the state-owned companies commit to delivering public values to society, creating a space for exchanging experiences on good equity and inclusion practices. The idea is to build joint actions, with possible cost optimization, with respect and appreciation of differences as the basis of relationships in order to enhance the visibility of the issue in society and in the business world.
