The Institute of Geosciences of the University of Panama (IGC), reported this Thursday morning, October 20, that a preliminary earthquake of magnitude 6.5 was recorded in our country, with a depth of 10 kilometers, located 73 km from Isla Coiba , in the province of Veraguas.
Through social networks, users have indicated that they have felt the telluric movement at various points in the province of Chiriquí, Herrera, Panamá Oeste and sectors of the capital city.
So far, the National Civil Protection System (SINAPROC) has not issued a statement in this regard.
