A magnitude 5 tremor was recorded tonight in the district of huambo in the province of caylloma.
According to the report of the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP), the epicenter of the earthquake was only 8 kilometers deep from the surface and It happened at 6:18 p.m.

At the moment No material or physical damage has yet been reportedbut the authorities and the different institutions are monitoring the effects of the tremor, as it is feared the record of stone slides, as occurred on Wednesday night on the Maca-Cabanaconde road, although the landslide was not due to a tremor.
According to the IGP, the province of Caylloma is one of the areas where there is a greater geological fault and the situation worsens with rainfall.
