Three earthquakes were recorded this Wednesday afternoon, June 14, on the shores of the El Tránsito resort, where the epicenter originated. The beach is located in the municipality of Nagarote, department of León.
The last telluric movement registered a magnitude of 4.9 on the Richter scale at a depth of 58 kilometers, at 3 in the afternoon with 45 minutes.

Hours before, two more earthquakes of lesser intensity with 2.4 on the Richter scale were reported, at a depth of 24 kilometers.
According to the information provided by the Observatory of Natural Phenomena (OFENA), there is no tsunami alert.
Areas where the telluric movement was felt
The departments in which the inhabitants reported feeling the movement are: León, Chinandega and Managua.
The event occurred due to the movement of the Coco and Caribbean tectonic plates.
The tremors forced different work centers in the capital to evacuate workers.
