The earthquake of 4.5 degrees was recorded this Sunday afternoon near Saona Island, La Romana province and was felt in a large part of Santo Domingo.
The movement occurred 35 kilometers southwest of The Romanaccording to data from the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
On its side, the Seismology Center of the Autonomous University of Santo Domingo (UASD) confirmed that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers, which has raised some concerns in communities near the epicenter.
