During demonstrations they assault and set fire to the judicial headquarters in Lircay

Around 11:00 a.m., a Judicial Branch office in the city of Lircay suffered an attack and was set on fire.

The president of the Superior Court of Justice of Huancavelica, René Edgar Espinoza Avendaño, confirmed that there was no physical harm to the workers of the Civil Peace Court and the Legal Peace Court.

Among the main damages is the burning of judicial files.

“Having incinerated the files, harm is caused to the people themselves, in some cases the files will have to be redone, but it may be that some actions cannot be redone, which will cause a delay in the service of the population, some will not be recovered, such as some sentences that will become unenforceable,” said Espinoza Avendaño.

He noted that the Judiciary is in the process of migrating to digitization, which confirms that there will be loss of files.

Among the damages is also the loss and burning of computer and physical equipment and even the Child Jesus from the birth of the court was stolen during the attack.

Faced with this situation, Espinoza Avendaño said that he does not rule out the possibility of holding a meeting with the leaders in order to listen to them and seek solutions to the problems that concern his Court.
