Hermosillo, Son., With a vision of social justice and the commitment to guarantee the right to decent transportation, Governor Alfonso Durazo Montaño delivered 49 new public transportation units in Hermosillo, with an investment of 207 million pesos, benefiting more than 83 thousand users in 273 neighborhoods.

Since the beginning of this administration, 420 new units have been incorporated in Sonora, of which 264 correspond to the last two years, strengthening urban mobility in 15 municipalities, with a joint public and private investment of more than 616 million pesos.

The president stressed that the modernization of public transportation should not mean an additional burden for citizens, which is why his government has maintained the rate through a responsible subsidy scheme for those who use this service daily. The new units replace trucks that had already ended their useful life and are equipped with video surveillance cameras, validators, automatic counters and monitoring systems, allowing us to offer a safer, more efficient and inclusive service, focused on the well-being of users.
