Astros Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets and Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriorsthey overflowed this Sunday in the NBA with 43 points each.
Durant finished the day with 43 points and six rebounds, and his teammate Kyrie Irving did it with 38 points. and six sacks in his Nets’ 124-121 win over the Detroit Pistons.
In Toronto, Poole also had 43 points in his Warriors’ 126-110 win over the Raptors. Poole also had six assists.
Previously in Orlando, Florida, Paolo Banchero had a high-level game in the Magic’s victory over the Boston Celtics (95-92).the second in three days, for the regular season of the NBA.
Banchero scored 22 points in the first half, 31 total, made six of his 3-point attempts and when the pace slowed, Admiral Schofield took over, scoring 11 of his 13 points in the fourth quarter to help Orlando hold on.
The Magic, whose 5-20 start to the season included a nine-game losing streak, now he has won six in a row.
Their second straight win in Boston meant the Celtics, who fell to 22-9they slipped behind the Milwaukee Bucks (21-8) atop the Eastern Conference.
The Celtics were without their leading scorer, Jayson Tatum, who missed the match for personal reasons.
It was then that Jaylen Brown led Boston with 24 points, Marcus Smart added 15 and Grant Williams chipped in 14.
After struggling to find shots in the first halfthe Celtics went on a 16-6 run in the third and took a 71-68 lead into the fourth quarter.
Boston trailed by one in the last minute when Grant Williams couldn’t get an in-bounds pass to Brown and Orlando scored again. Williams then missed a 3-pointer as time expired.
“We just weren’t as organized as we should be,” Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla said of the Celtics’ mistakes at the end.
