The President of the Republic Iván Duqueconsidered that the violent actions that the Clan del Golfo has been perpetrating in some areas of the country are due to the effects that their structures have suffered and that what they seek with these actions is to try to generate intimidation through “Isolated and cowardly acts”.
The statement was made by the head of state, at the end of the Unified Command Post that was carried out in the direction of the Police Nationalin which they were adopted additional measures to counteract criminal actions of that criminal organization.

Duque added that through the media and social networks, the Gulf Clan seeks to maximize its actions to demonstrate a strength they do not have.
“Regional search blocks will be created against the structures of that criminal groupbut a specialized search block cell will also be generated, to kill or capture alias Siopas and alias Chiquito Malo for whom a reward of up to 5,000 million pesos is being offered,” manifested.

The president also revealed that In the next few hours, a deployment of force will be carried out in some regions of the country, what includes to 52 thousand members of the Police and the Army, to restore tranquility to those affected areas for the actions of that drug trafficking organization.

“In a matter of hours we should have a televised and radio campaign of ‘Wanted’ against these criminalswith recent photos, with a greater penetration of communication in the areas where they have tried to exert influence,” concluded Duque.
