The Permanent Family Contribution, formerly known as Bono Marzo, is a benefit that is distributed annually to low-income families in Chile. This year, the amount of the benefit is $59,452 per family load, with a second installment of $60,000.
The third payment of this benefit began on Wednesday, March 15, so thousands of beneficiaries will be able to check when they should receive it. This third group includes workers from private and public companies, as well as pensioners from entities other than the IPS who receive Family or Maternal Allowance for their family responsibilities.
To check if you receive the March 2023 Bonus doubled, it is necessary to enter the website of the Social Welfare Institute, entering the RUN and the date of birth. If you belong to this third group, you can check your day and place of payment at www.aportefamiliar.cleither.
MARCH BONUS: How is the payment made?
If you have your Banco Estado RUT Account enabled, the benefit will be automatically deposited in it. Otherwise, you can collect it in person at a payment location informed through the official Family Contribution website.
If you still do not know if you are a beneficiary of the Permanent Family Contribution, it is important that you make the inquiry as soon as possible. This benefit can make a difference for many low-income families in Chile, especially in a context of economic uncertainty like the current one.
Who can collect the March bonus?
As indicated by the Chileatiende website:
The Permanent Family Contribution is intended for low-income families. Thus, in 2023:
1) $59,452 is delivered for each dependent family that as of December 31, 2022 has given the right to any of the following benefits:
- Family Subsidy (SUF): exceptionally, mothers who receive SUF for children under 18 years of age who live with them are also eligible for the subsidy; therefore, they also received the bonus for themselves.
For example, a mother who receives SUF caused by two children (duly accredited as causes as of December 31, 2022), receives a Permanent Family Contribution of $178,356, the breakdown of which is as follows:
$59,452 [carga familiar 1 (hijo menor de 18 años)] + $59,452 [carga familiar 2 (hijo menor de 18 años)] + $59,452 [ella misma (en su calidad excepcional de causante de SUF)] = $178,356.
- Family Allowance or Maternal Allowance (AFAM), provided they receive said allowances for having income equal to or less than $979,330.
For example, in a family in which the mother and father work and have two sons or daughters who are burdens recognized by the father (and, therefore, caused Family Allowance in their favor as of December 31, 2022), the amount received is $118,904 (child 1 + child 2).
Important: each deceased will only be entitled to one Permanent Family Contribution, even when the beneficiary is covered by various pension schemes and performs different jobs.
2) Those family groups that, as of December 31, 2022, were users of any of the following subsystems receive $59,452 per family:
- Securities and Opportunities (Ethical Family Income).
- Solidarity Chile.
Important:
If a person belongs to both cases, the contributions are not added. In this case, the amount of money that is privileged is the one that corresponds to the group of beneficiaries of SUF or AFAM.
People who are independent workers and who register charges in the IPS, must check, as of the last week of April, if they are on the payroll of beneficiaries. This is due to the dates of the processes and internal transfer of information between the SII and the IPS (the AFAM payment for December is made in February, while in March it is reported to SUSESO for its evaluation).
