Due to maintenance, remodeling and construction work, the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) offered users a new parking option at the GNP Stadium to avoid congestion in the air terminals.
He pointed out that starting yesterday and until further notice, he will provide free transportation service to passengers, for 24 hours, who decide not to use their parking lots currently at the limit of their capacity.
He indicated that users will be able to use the parking lot located at gate 6 of the GNP Stadium, in the Magdalena Mixiuhca Sports City, where their vehicle will be protected, and from there they will be transferred to the capital’s airport.
The AICM will make vehicles available at no cost so that travelers who have a scheduled flight can be transferred, once they have parked their car, in order to avoid delays and facilitate their timely arrival at the terminals.
“The arrival and departure area will be in the terminal 2 bus bay, with the aerotrain and the units that provide service between terminals being available, both free of charge and without the need for a boarding pass to travel to terminal 1 and vice versa.”
He added that the transport units in charge of this service are duly marked with the institutional image of the Marina Airport Group and will attend to demand 24 hours a day, until the completion of the remodeling work. Parking costs at the GNP Stadium will be 40 pesos per hour and a maximum of 350 pesos per day.
He reminded that passengers should consider arriving at the airport terminals two hours in advance for a domestic flight and three hours for an international flight.
