The scarcity of gasoil It does not let up and, given the complex panorama, YPF restricted the sale to vehicles with foreign patents, who, in addition, must pay up to double the price per liter.
The measure that has already begun to be implemented in Mendoza and in all border cities seeks to guarantee the sale of gas to national vehicles, since the problem of shortage of gasoil it still can’t be solved.
In this sense, light and heavy transport vehicles will have differential prices and will be able to load only gasoil YPF’s Infinia Diesel at $240 a liter, according to the company.
“On consumption by foreign patents, the company will begin to implement a system by which light cars and heavy transport will only be able to load Infinia Diesel at a price of $240 per liter” they indicated.
This, given that, by selling the fuel at a lower price than in neighboring countries, demand has increased at the borders, which contributes to a greater shortage in the rest of the country.
“This measure seeks to limit the unusually high demand associated with border and logistics consumption, where growth exceeds 30% in some parts of the country,” YPF said.
The company also pointed out that this strategy is part of the “maximum logistical efforts to maximize the supply of gasoil“, which also affects the agricultural sector.
