Due to errors in the data, 2,474 victims of the La Niña phenomenon in the Atlantic have not received the $500,000 subsidy.

Given this, the entity went to the unconstitutionality exception in order to revive the subsidy for more than 84,000 victims of the natural phenomenon in the years between 2021-2023, who lost the possibility of claiming it due to inconsistencies in their data.

“This is to guarantee the rights of the victims of La Niña 2021. This registration, unfortunately, in some cases was bad due to omissions, typing errors or other difficulties that the territorial entity presented when registering these people,” he stated. The official stressed that they seek, with the exception, that the people who were affected can access this benefit, with the reopening of terms, so that errors can be corrected “on the part of the territorial entity or the affected person if they consider it so and in a term of 60 days be able to claim the $500,000“.

The departments with the highest number of inconsistencies recorded are: La Guajira (13,851), Chocó (10,391), Bolívar (7,277), Sucre (6,788), Córdoba (6,025), Magdalena (5,619), Cauca (4,828), Cesar (3,760).

Also Cundinamarca (3,494), Valle del Cauca (3,285), Atlántico (2,474), Arauca (2,453), Antioquia (2,415), Tolima (1,897), Santander (1,871), Nariño (1,557), Norte de Santander (1,449) and Putumayo (1,264).

“The UNGRD performed the statistical verification of the RUNDAfinding multiple inconsistencies that were repeatedly notified to the territorial entities for their respective correction. There were people who were not recognized as victims due to these errors in the registry and never received the economic benefit to which they were entitled. www.gestiondelriesgo.gov.co. The entity clarified that the data update applies solely and exclusively to the 84,194 people registered that presented inconsistencies with a cut-off November 2, 2024.

Likewise, he specified that new beneficiaries will not be able to enter, since the records in Runda closed the year. May 1, 2023. The correction of the information can only be carried out up to the March 25, 2026.
