Due to blackouts in Valle de Antón, Ombudsman opens complaint to ASEP

A complaint to the Public Services Authority (ASEP) was filed by the Ombudsman’s Office, through the Coclé Regional, for complaints of constant blackouts.

The complaint was opened by Right of Petition because the residents and merchants of El Valle de Antón have submitted requests to the director of the institution, but have received no response.

The National Human Rights Institution (INDH) proceeded to open this complaint in response to the constant power blackouts, recently exposed by the residents in various media.

According to Article 26 of Law No. 7 of February 5, 1997, by which the Ombudsman’s Office is created and its modifications, it may receive all oral or written complaints, transmitted by any means, that come from anonymous sources. or identified.
