Santo Domingo.- The Duartiano Institute (ID) announced this Sunday about patriotic activities that will be developed in the country and abroad on the occasion of 213 anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Dominican Republic, Juan Pablo Duarte y Díezthis Monday, January 26.
The president of the entity, Wilson Gómez Ramírez, He explained that this Monday the commemorative events will begin at 8 in the morning with a raising of the national flag at the Duarte-Díez family home, on Isabel la Católica Street, with the interpretation of the National Anthem, by the music band of the Fire Department of the National District.

At 8:30 in the morning, there will be the deposit of a floral offering, at 9 in the morning the traditional solemn mass is scheduled in the Primate Cathedral of America; and then, at 11 in the morning, the tribute will be paid to the patrician, in the mausoleum where his remains rest, with a floral offering, at the Altar of the Homeland.
The activities will continue at 1 p.m. with the commemoration of the fifth anniversary of the virtual station “Radio Patria La Voz de Duarte”, in the auditorium next to the radio station, at the headquarters of the Duartiano Institute.
The program will conclude at 5:30 in the afternoon, with the unveiling of the first equestrian statue of the Trinidadian leader, Juan Pablo Duarte, in the part of the boulevard located at the intersection of 27 de Febrero, Jiménez Moya and Winston Churchill avenues, with the participation of the cavalry and the Army music band (ERD) and artistic groups.
In parallel, the Duartian centers and branches inside the country and abroad have scheduled activities, with the aim of spreading the life of the hero and raising national fervor.
