Dry law in Santa Cruz: they prohibit the consumption of alcoholic beverages from Friday until noon on Saturday

In Santa Cruz, dry law should apply. At least that is how Departmental Decree No. 378, of April 14, 2022, stipulates them, which establishes that from zero hours on Friday the 15th and until 12:00 on Saturday, April 16: “The sale and consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibitedthe organization of games of chance, the celebration of parties with musical ensembles, sound equipment or other similar, whether in public and private places, throughout the department of Santa Cruz”, as stated below:

The decree entrusts the execution and compliance with this rule to the Departmental Secretariat of Citizen Security and deputy governors in the provinces, whom he asks to coordinate with municipal and police authorities. Meanwhile, the dissemination is entrusted to the Department of Communication of the Government.

Although the decree has not been published on the social networks of the Departmental Government, is available in the Official Gazette of that Institution.

Departmental Decree No. 378 aims to “regulate the conditions that allow maintain an atmosphere of social peace and civic tranquility in the days of spiritual rejoicing for the celebrations of Holy Week throughout the Department”, according to what is read in the first article.
