In a new blow to the structures dedicated to microtrafficking in Cartagenathe National Police, in coordination with the Attorney General’s Office, managed to dismantle a drug sales point located in the Paseo de Bolívar neighborhood, in the vicinity of a school.
During a raid carried out on a homethe authorities seized approximately 1,500 doses of marijuana, elements for packaging the drug and cash. Two people (a man and a woman) were captured and made available to the competent authorities.

The investigations carried out by the authorities made it possible to establish that this point of sale distributed more than 5,000 doses of narcotics monthly, generating a criminal income close to 40 million pesos. One of those captured, known as ‘El Carlitos’, has a criminal record for homicide and illegal possession of firearms.
The deputy commander of the Cartagena Metropolitan Police, Colonel Sandra Bibiana López Duque, highlighted the results obtained in the fight against micro-trafficking in the city, highlighting that So far this year, more than 1,716 people have been captured for this crime and they have seized more than 1.6 tons of hallucinogens.

“We are giving forceful blows against these structures that not only do they dispute local drug trafficking, but they are also generators of violent events in different sectors of the city. That’s why Our call to the people of Cartagena is to continue cooperating, under absolute confidentiality, to identify criminals and all these criminal structures that threaten the security and coexistence of citizens,” he said.
