Driver ran over thieves who had stolen a 40 million pesos watch

A new insecurity that ended in a traffic accident was registered in Bogotá, after subjects tried to rob a city driver.

The events were recorded in the Los Rosales neighborhood of the town of Chapinero.

According to the victim’s versions, the events were recorded when two individuals who were traveling on a motorcycle intercepted a man who was traveling in a BMW car.

In the midst of the situation, the criminals took the opportunity to steal valuable belongings, including a Cartier watch guaranteed at 40 million pesos.

After what happened, the subjects fled; however, the driver gave himself up to the pursuit of the thieves, who would have fired a gun at him.

“I was in my car, I was homeless, it’s a convertible, two men on a motorcycle approached me, they put a revolver to my head, they told me they were going to kill me,” said the victim.

He explained that they followed behind the car and shot him.

“I decided to ram them to stop those shots, I ran them into another truck, when thanks to the police they lowered two motorcycles and managed to capture them,” he said.

Regarding these facts, the commander of the Chapinero Police Station, Lieutenant Jeison López, indicated that “almost immediately the patrol from the quadrant of the jurisdiction here arrives, verifying the situation.

They argued that the two captured subjects already had a criminal record for the crimes of aggravated and qualified robbery and drug trafficking.
