Mr. Román Jácome, manager of the transport company Cootransunidos, told RCN Radio ” At 5 am this Wednesday, April 19, an armed group intercepted the bus with internal number 127 that covered the route between the Teorama – Ocaña municipalities, forced the driver to get out of the vehicle whose whereabouts are unknown.”
This is Mr. Ramón Andrés Pallares who has been working with the company for several years of transport that moves towards various roads in the province of Ocaña.
“We have not been victims of extortion by armed groups, although the situation regarding public order is complex, We hope that the Gaula will carry out its work and that we will have Ramón Andrés back with us safe and sound”, said Mr. Jácome to RCN Radio.
Likewise, he said that the passengers who were mobilizing in the bus are well and that the vehicle is still on the road. where it was intercepted by the armed group, although they aspire to mobilize the vehicle to Ocaña in the afternoon.
Given what happened, drivers of cargo vehicles express their concern about the demands of various armed groups to pay large sums of money, otherwise they are threatened with burning the tractor-trailers or immobilizing them.
