The Prosecutor’s Office charged a truck driver who caused a mishap that resulted in the death of five people.
The prosecutor Alfredo Acosta Hein charged the driver of a cargo truck who was involved in a frontal collision with a car and which left 5 deaths. He is identified as Daniel Ramos Garrido (45), nicknamed “Dani”, who is facing charges for culpable homicide and it was made available to the Guarantee Court.
According to the official report, the accident occurred on March 25, at approximately 4:40 p.m., on National Route 7 (former superhighway), at kilometer 53, jurisdiction of the Marcamoa settlement, district of Santa Fe del Paraná. .
At the time, the accused was traveling aboard a Hyundai vehicle, van type, model HD 120, year 2018, white in color, with registration AABY 967 Py, owned by the Chortizer Lda. cooperative, and upon reaching the place of reference collided head-on with the Toyota Corolla car, burgundy in color, year 1992, sheet metal AJA 844, which was under the command of Pantaleon Meza, who died on the spot.

Likewise, their four grandchildren under the ages of 2, 4, 8 and 12 lost their lives, respectively, who were in a smaller vehicle. Meanwhile, it turned out with injuries to the mother of the boys, named Mónica Meza Paiva (26), who remains hospitalized in a care center.
After the mishap, police officers from the 30th police station in the area intervened at the scene and proceeded to apprehend the driver of the truck that caused the fatal accident. The same, by tax order, was transferred to the base of the Highway Patrol and subjected to the breathalyzer, which was negativeaccording to the official report.
Finally, after gathering the elements of suspicion, prosecutor Acosta Heyn ordered the accusation of Daniel Garrido.
