Driver in an apparent drunken state causes a triple crash and leaves two injured in Huancayo

A lead truck collided with a station wagon, as a result of the impact it became embedded in the back of a dump truck and left the driver and co-driver injured. The driver of the lead truck fled, however, minutes later they found the vehicle abandoned next to a rustic house.

The incident occurred in the San Agustín de Cajas sector, province of Huancayo, when the station wagon was moving to the province of Concepción carrying vegetables, the married couple who were on board were transferred to the Carrión hospital.

The son of the injured identified the driver of the vehicle as Cristian Calderón Yurivilca, a health professional who was apparently intoxicated and fled. They later found the vehicle lost and abandoned next to a rustic house. A driver in the sector said that the truck also collided with his car and almost ran over a person.
