Dressed in a military uniform, Lacalle spent Christmas in the Congo and returns to Uruguay

Lacalle arrived on Friday, December 24, in the city of Goma, Congo, to visit the “Uruguay IV” Battalion and spend Good Night and Christmas together with the Blue Helmets of the national contingent.

The official delegation, in addition to Lacalle Pou, was made up of the Minister of National Defense, Javier García; the Commander-in-Chief of the Army, Gerardo Daniel Fregossi; the commander-in-chief of the Air Force, Luis De León, and the head of the Military House, César Ifrán.

Upon arriving in Goma, the president was received by the Uruguayan Blue Helmets, to whom he dedicated a few words.

Later, he visited the L’amour orphanage, a center that receives constant help from the Blue Helmets of the Uruguayan battalion.

While he shared the Christmas Eve dinner with the Uruguayan Blue Helmets that are at the Base in Goma

This Saturday, December 25, meanwhile, Lacalle Pou together with the delegation of authorities, undertook the return to Uruguay.

Through social networks you can see different video images of the activities of the president both with the military, at the dinner of the 24, and with the children of the orphanage and in many of them he is seen wearing military clothing.
