The Presidency of the Republic published this Monday, February 6, the draft decree, for citizen consultation, so that President Gustavo Petro take control of the regulation of public services in the country.
(This would be the decree with which Petro assumes regulation of services).
Through him, “some of the Presidential functions of a regulatory nature in the field of home public services are resumed and other provisions are issued”, is read in the document.
According to the initiative, the functions of the Energy and Gas Regulation Commission and the Drinking Water and Basic Sanitation Regulation Commission carried out by means of Decrees 1524 and 2253 of 1994 would be resumed.
These functions could be assumed by the President of the Republic.
