The ambassador of the Dominican Republic in Saudi Arabia, Andy Rodríguez Durán, visited supermarket chains and fruit and vegetable processing and refrigeration plants in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the aim of increasing the varied and attractive exportable offer of Dominican products in the market of that Arab nation.
During the tour, Rodríguez Durán spoke with owners and managers of the businesses to whom he expressed the agri-food, industrial and manufacturing potential of the Caribbean country.
He reiterated his commitment to the Foreign Policy Program of President Luis Abinader and the instructions of Foreign Minister Roberto Álvarez with these actions focused on the second axis of the program on the promotion of exports. He highlighted the foreign minister’s efforts with the training of officials responsible for the country’s commercial sections in the foreign service.
