Dr. Melva Cruz, general director of Public Health of the Ministry of Health (Minsa), spoke this Thursday about the mixture or cross between Covid-19, influenza and dengue, warning that there has been an increase in respiratory diseases that are not Covid, like the flu.

He also said that there is an increase in dengue and malaria. “There have been 169 cases of dengue fever in the last three weeks and some hospitalizations have been reported; there are no dengue deaths,” he added.

Cruz urged the population to get vaccinated against influenza or anticovid vaccines, which are being applied in various polyclinics and health centers in the country.
